Tether Dance Project is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit based in San Francisco, California presenting performances, workshops, and community-building around modern dance and performance art.
Our Mission
Tether Dance Project draws from dance as a vehicle for personal and collective storytelling and seeks to celebrate diverse movement narratives. We aim to community-build and create mutual support for young and upcoming artists from all walks of life.
Tether was born from UC Berkeley’s Tether Dance Company founded in late 2023. Tether Dance Company was Tatianna, Teo and Ella’s senior project as Dance Major’s at UC Berkeley and was supported by the Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies Department.
