Socks

How do we navigate the transition to adulthood while holding onto our authentic selves? The ensemble of Socks investigates growing pains and the intangible threads that have connected us to childhood. This piece follows our journey through pressures of societal conformity and internal anxiety to a place of release. The performers utilized knee-high colorful socks as a prop and costume piece with body percussion, weight sharing, and floorwork. This work premiered in Portals at Dance Mission Theater, April 25 and 27, 2025.
