Strides

Strides is a dynamic ensemble work exploring the journey of growing up and finding one’s place in the world. As Tether Dance Company’s first major piece, it weaves together improvisation, dancer-sourced choreography, poetry, and voice text to create a rich multimedia experience. The movement is raw and expressive, reflecting the uncertainty, discovery, and resilience of personal evolution. Conceived in December 2023, Strides premiered at UC Berkeley’s Zellerbach Hall in May 2024 as part of the AFX-[M]ovement showcase, marking the company’s debut on a large stage.
